From this year on, I will organize a microscopy challenge once a year. Everyone can take part, without registration or any other data robbery. The only thing you will need is a YouTube account. Only this can make sure, that nobody tries to harm my site with virus infected files. Additionally, we can communicate safely, without being afraid of spam mails. The winner will be contacted on his YouTube channel.
How to join the micros-cup 2016
It´s very easy:
- Take yout microscope
- Make some beautiful pictures or videos with it
- Upload them as a picture gallery or a video to YouTube
- Write this URL in the description: https://light-microscope.net/en/the-micros-cup/micros-cup-2016-2/
- Go to the “micros cup 2016” page and leave a comment with the link to YOUR video

Challenge dates
The micros cup 2016 is running from
01. JULY to 30. SEPTEMBER 2016.
Only those videos will participate, which were uploaded before the 1st OCTOBER 2016.
All incoming videos will be embedded on the micros cup 2016 site
How the winner will be elected
From all uploaded videos, a winner is going to be elected at random. This will avoid any discussion about discrimination or false judgment of a jury.
Furthermore, the goal of this event is not the challenge. The idea behind it is, to bring the friends of the microscopy from all around the world together. You can see, what the others do, we can discuss pictures and videos from other participants.
FUN – is the word of the day.
The price for the winner will be…
… a mini microscope lens, which you can use to turn your smartphone to a microscope. I will send this price to the winner, wherever he or she will come from. Take a look:
Some other rules of the challenge
You can upload maximum 3 videos from your YouTube account
All incoming videos will be embedded on the micros cup 2016 site
You can take pictures from whatever you want, it doesn´t matter which magnification factor. But the object has to be magnified!
Even though the winner will be chosen at random, please be a (wo)man of honour and keep an eye on the quality.
